Lots of good reads this week for my fellow business owners as we hit May head on:
- This piece by Kasasa on their Community Rising blog does an excellent job of defining and explaining the various generations we talk about (often incorrectly) as marketers. For a great overview with smart details, check out this piece.
- I love this article in Medium by Jesse Weaver, “The Dawn of the Reliance Economy: Your Attention Was Never the Endgame.” Fascinating details and studies about how relying on apps makes us less reliant on ourselves. I think you’ll find it thought provoking too.
Do Good Spotlight on: Charity Navigator
We often include Charity Navigator scores for the not-for-profits we feature in our Do Good Spotlight each week. This week, we thought we’d share more about Charity Navigator itself: Founded in 2001, Charity Navigator has become the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities. Their professional analysts examine tens of thousands of non-profit financial documents to develop unbiased, objective, numbers-based ratings on over 9,000 of America’s best-known and some lesser known, but worthy, charities. Find out more at https://www.charitynavigator.org/
- And this gem from 2016 Harvard Business Review sent to me by Adam Connors of Networkwise.com on what great listeners actually do. It validates the Owlthena expert listening model beautifully! So glad what we’re doing with this amazing service designed for business owners is helping.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful May! Let me know if you want to connect soon!
