The leaves are starting to turn where I live, I can see them outside my window as I’m writing. How are you doing these days? Please reach out if you’d like to chat about anything, it would be good to hear from you.
In the meantime, here are a few items that caught my attention that I wanted to share with you today:
- Bill Gates still has something to teach us about leadership, and this time It’s about negative praise.
- This one isn’t cheery, it’s an article from National Geographic on why it’s hard for humans to relate to big numbers. It focuses on COVID numbers, so don’t make this a read to start your day, but when your brain is fully engaged, you may find, as I did, this helps us think about how to stay engaged when it may be easier to go numb.
- Okay, sticking with math but going in a more entertaining direction, this from BuzzFeed: 17 Freaky Facts.
Do Good Spotlight: SoGal
Here’s another organization that I learned about recently, SoGal. It’s the largest global platform for the education and empowerment of diverse entrepreneurs and investors. Its mission is to close the diversity gap in entrepreneurship and venture capital. Owlthena donated this week to support their work. You can learn more about SoGal here.
I hope you have a good rest of the week. And by the way, what do you think of my unsolicited pumpkin-decorating helper?
