And I’m back to my wicked habit of moving furniture around. The focus this week is the home office. How many ways can I configure 2 filing cabinets, an apothecary chest, an easy chair/ottoman, my rolling desk chair, and 2 tables (I always have tables as desks). I know my math friends will send me permutations and combinations, my designer friends will send 3-D room layouts, and I will appreciate whatever help you can provide as I’m stumped this time for sure.

But onto more important things…this week’s What’s Hot Wednesday for Business Leaders, brought to you by the Owlthena team: listening expertly to help you talk through to clarity on business issues holding you hostage.

Here’s What’s Hot:

  • This year Inc’s list of best workplaces has 389 stellar companies to admire for keeping their teams motivated, productive, and enjoying the process. Are there gems in these that you can apply to your company’s story?
  • What’s RVC and how can it help you communicate with your stakeholders? Robert Weiss of MultiVisionDigital explains here and has a special offer for businesses that need video while traditional videographers cannot get to you, and vice versa.
  • How secure is your business data with so many of your team members and other stakeholders working remotely? This smart post from Fred Jackson of Nucleus Computer Services gives pointers on what deserves your attention.
  • From the consummate networking guru Adam Connors, this post on how to stand out on Zoom and other video chat platforms.

Do Good Spotlight: Emily’s Smiles

In honor of their young daughter who died of an aggressive brain cancer, her parents founded Emily’s Smiles, a foundation that raises money to help children and their families fight brain cancer. This organization was brought to our attention by Barbara DiLisio of and we wanted to lend our support for this cause with a donation and our Do Good Spotlight this week. Learn more here.

Well, that’s a wrap. I hope the rest of your week has a positive trajectory.

Stay well, stay strong, stay focused!
